Explore Dolpa Trek & Expedition is one of the established trekking companies of Nepal. The company is founded by the people of Dolpa so the main office is located in Dunai-1, Dolpa, while the Sales Office is located in Thamel, Kathmandu. We conduct organized adventurous trekking programs in the remote and scenic Himalayan regions of Nepal. Though we organize trekking adventures along these routes - Dolpa, Mustang, Manang, Annapurna circuit, Jumla, Mugu and Humla, our main specialty is Dolpa.
The main focus of our agency is to popularize the places which have still remained in shadow for the tourist trade. Some of the places that have hidden natural and cultural treasure of Nepal, can be the major adventure destinations. Unlike the popular trekking trails in Nepal which has become too commercialized, Dolpa has retained its pristine virginity. The people living there still follow the age-old customs and traditions. Since the company is originated in Dolpa by the native group of young and dedicated people associated with the tourism industry, it holds enough and overall information about the region. Explore Dolpo bears a unique specialty to organize treks in the vast spread hidden lands in western region of Nepal.

Explore Dolpa Trekking company is such a group of team that bears good knowledge of trekking in the highlands. The management team has involvement of well experienced and dedicated individuals with different proficiency which makes the service of the company prompt and efficient. There are several individuals specialized in different subjects related to tourism are associated with this company and contribute regular advises for the betterment in the management. The company recruits mostly the local young people as the field staff, those who are interested in trekking and keen to be professional in this field. All the recruited staffs are provided with appropriate trainings from experts according to their requirement to boost up their efficiency. Since most of the field staffs are experienced locals, they are familiar to the environment and have perfect knowledge about the trekking area and trails especially in the western region of Nepal. Jug Bahadur Budha

Marketing Director, Mr. Jag Bahadur Budha is originally from Shahartara-03, Dolpo, Nepal. He had graduated from India 2008, after graduation he had joined as marketing officer of Explore Dolpo Trek & Expedition. In 2009 he had been to Republic Of Cyprus for his higher education. Even he was in abroad he did very appreciative job of marketing of Explore Dolpo.Then after returning from the abroad he was promoted to Marketing Director of Explore Dolpo Treks & Expedition.
Mr. Budha had been trekked many times in Dolpo region since his childhood and as he is originally from Dolpo region, he has a lot of information regarding Dolpo Treks/trips. As he is interested in exploring Dolpo region he had made some documentary Films about Dolpo region.

We have sounds great team who are originally from Dolpo region. We emphasis on recruiting local staffs. Through the recruiting the local people it will definitely enhances the economic status of local people as Dolpo region is very remote district. As a Himalayan region Dolpo, lack of fertile lands & transportations there is very less opportunities. So we create employment opportunity to the local people through tourism business.

Mr. Bhupendra Mukhia

Mr. Mukhia is an innovative educator, trainer and planner in different fields such as eco tourism, village tourism, sustainable resource management etc. He has long and practical experiences of more than 15 years in tourist trade working with different national and international organizations. He has already spent his precious twenty years of his life in Dolpo as a community educator and trainer for the development of the place.

 

Our field staffs are

Santa Ram, Cook/Guide

Santa Ram is an energetic Dolpali young man who is dedicated in his profession. He started his profession as a kitchen helper and now he is a good cook and also holds a good capacity to guide trekkers. He is physically fit and healthy enough to go for challenging adventures. He has several experiences of rescuing the people in high altitudes. Since he is multi- skilled, he provides satisfaction of good food with safe guiding in the journey.

Chandra Dangi, Cook/Guide

Dangi is from Dangiwnada Juphal, is serving as a cook for the trekkers in Dolpo region. He has long experience of trekking. He is a professional and his all seven brothers are also in the same trade. He is a school graduate. He can speak some other languages apart from Nepali. Though he is a cook he can guide the people to their destinations.

Karma, Sr. Local Guide

Karma an inhabitant of Simen village of Upper Dolpo is one of the experienced and the senior most local guide who had accompanied Erik Valley for Caravan film making. He can speak the Dolpo language (Khaam), Nepali and English. He holds a good knowledge of trek and trails in whole Dolpo region. Further, he has good knowledge of the route from Dolpa to Jomsom, Upper Mustang, Jumla, Rara which may be known for others.

Pemba Bhote (Chyangba), Sr.Guide

Pemba Bhote (Chyangba) 30 years old Guide from Sankhuwasava is seven years experienced in trekking. He Can speak Nepali, Tibetan and English fluent. He has good experiences in most of the trekking regions of Nepal. He is also physically fitted and smart to guide in the highlands.

Mr. Aitey Bhandari, Cook/Guide

Mr. Bhandari is a permanent resident of Motipur, Dolpa. He has been evolved in trekking since long. He is a good cook as well as a guide. He is very jolly by his nature but helpful. He holds good experience of trek and trail of highland. No doubt, everyone who is with him will have fun along the trail instead of tiredness.
